Why do you perform interfaith
weddings, nonreligious weddings
and commitment
ceremonies?
I believe that your relationship transcends any
institutional restrictions.
What are your
credentials?
I belong to the Central Conference of American Rabbis. I was
ordained as a reform rabbi at Hebrew Union College in Cincinnati, Ohio where I
also earned a doctor of divinity degree. I'm a licensed psychologist and
hospital chaplain. I've married hundreds of couples and know how to address
conflict so that the joyousness of the day prevails.
Do you recommend a location
for our ceremony?
If your interfaith wedding is small, I highly recommend a
home wedding. Otherwise, a neutral setting works best. But I will perform a
wedding in a church under certain circumstances.
Will You Travel to Our Wedding?
Yes. I travel throughout the United States to perform
interfaith wedding ceremonies, nondenominatonal weddings and same-sex
ceremonies.
Do You Officiate with Other Clergy?
As a marriage officiant and reform rabbi, I will collaborate
and co-officiate with your minister or priest to bring you a seamless interfaith
or nonreligious wedding ceremony sensitive to you and your families.
Will you marry us on
Saturday?
Although many rabbis refuse to conduct weddings on
Shabbat (Sabbath) I recognize that many couples want a Saturday afternoon
wedding to accommodate the travel requirements of their out-of-town guests. I
also officiate on Friday nights, if my schedule permits. I believe it's a
mitzvah to perform a wedding or commitment ceremony.
Where can we find a
chuppah?
Usually, your florist can create one for you or at least
provide the four poles. I recommend MP Artworks for a chuppah cover you'll
proudly display. If you use the following code, you'll receive $50 off the price
of your chuppah. Visit chuppah help on this website for tips on renting or
building your own chuppah.
